Get an alert when someone starts missing their group
Alerts can now watch for recorded absences in groups that share a Planning Center tag, in a row or within a time window, and can include people who already match.
When someone who was there every week misses three in a row, a group leader usually notices. Now Parable can notice too, across every group of a kind.
Watch for missed gatherings
- Open Settings, then Alerts, and select Add alert.
- Under Who matches, choose Custom conditions.
- Add Group tag attendance, choose a Planning Center tag such as Sunday Connection, and select Marked absent.
- Choose a run of consecutive gatherings, or a number of absences within the last few weeks.
A run of absences counts only for people who attended that same group within the last 13 weeks, so long-gone members don’t flood the list. Each group is checked on its own. Only absences a leader marked in Planning Center Groups count. A gathering with no attendance taken never counts as missed.
The same conditions are available in People filters, laid out as plain rows: which group, how many absences, and within what period.
Start with the people who already match
A new or re-enabled alert now asks whether to Apply this alert to people who already match. It’s on by default, so the people who need a follow-up today appear in Connections straight away. Switch it off to alert only on new matches.
Each alert now uses either a Saved List or its own Custom conditions. Setting up alerts requires Connections Manager access.
