Alerts flag changes that may call for a conversation. Start with a suggested rule, or define the conditions your church wants to watch.
A missed gathering and a first gift call for different responses. Give each alert a clear label so your team can tell what changed.
Start with a rule your team recognizes
Suggested alerts cover changes such as missed gatherings, stopped giving and a first gift. Each template explains what it watches. Adjust the rule to fit your church before saving it.
- Open Settings, then Alerts.
- Choose a suggested template, or select Add alert to define your own conditions.
- Review who matches and when the alert should open, then save it.
When someone matches, an alert opens and they appear in Connections in the Flagged list, labelled with what changed. The alert closes on its own once the situation resolves. People who already match when you save a rule don’t trigger a wave of alerts.
Alerts are now available to every church with Connections. Setting them up requires Connections Manager access, and alerts based on giving only show their reason to people with giving access.
