Draft a caring check-in in your church's voice

Parable can draft a check-in email or text for someone who needs a follow-up, written in your Brand Voice. Nothing is sent until you approve it.

Knowing someone needs a call is one thing. Finding the right words on a busy Tuesday is another. Now that Connections is available to every church, Parable can help you write a first draft, so reaching out takes minutes instead of being put off until next week.

Draft a message

  1. Open Connections and find a person with an open follow-up.
  2. Open the row’s menu and choose Draft message.
  3. In Draft a check-in, pick the Channel (Email or Text) and a Tone: Warm, Brief, Pastoral or Practical.
  4. Under Why reach out now?, add anything you want the message to say.
  5. Select Generate. Edit the draft freely, or select Regenerate for another take.
  6. Choose Approve & send email or Copy for text. Or select Keep as draft to come back to it.

Parable writes from the care signals you’re allowed to see, such as a recent drop in activity, and in the church voice you’ve set up under Settings → Voice. Nothing is sent or logged until you approve. When you do, the touchpoint is recorded on the person’s Care tab.

Drafting needs permission to use Ask Parable. Giving signals are left out unless you have giving access. Text messages are never sent from Parable: the draft is copied so you can send it from your own phone.
