Tasks, comments and mentions for your care team
Assign follow-up tasks, talk through a situation in private comment threads, and get notified when a teammate needs you.
Care is a team effort. A pastor promises a hospital visit, a group leader offers to call, an admin needs to send a card. Now that Connections is available to every church, your team also has a shared place to keep those promises and talk them through.
Keep track of follow-ups with Tasks
- Open Tasks in the sidebar, then select New task. You can also create a task from a person’s profile.
- Describe the task, then use Add linked record to connect it to one or more people, or leave it standalone.
- Choose a due date, such as Today, Tomorrow or Next week, or type one like “next Tuesday”.
- Assign it to a teammate, or keep it yourself.
Tasks are grouped into Today, This week and Later, with overdue ones flagged. Search, filter by assignee or record, and turn on Show completed tasks to see what’s done.
Talk it through privately
Select the comments button on a person’s profile to open a thread only your team can see. Reply in threads, react with an emoji, and resolve a thread when it’s settled. Type @ to mention a teammate and they’ll get an email and an in-app notification linking straight to the comment.
Never miss what’s yours
The bell in the app header shows what needs you: people and tasks assigned to you, tasks coming due, comment mentions, new alerts for people in your care, and people who join groups you lead. Select an item to open it, or Mark all read.
You can only see tasks, comments and mentions for people your Connections access covers, and you can only mention teammates who can see that person.
