Bring your Church Metrics numbers into Parable
Connect Church Metrics and use its categories as sources for your Parable metrics, alongside your Planning Center data.
Many churches record attendance and other weekly counts in Church Metrics. Now those numbers can sit next to your Planning Center data, so your leadership team sees one picture of the church instead of two.
Connect your account
You’ll need a Church Metrics admin account with Access API enabled, and its personal API key.
- Open Settings, then Apps, and choose Church Metrics.
- Install it, then connect your account with your Account email and Personal API key. Parable checks the details before saving, then imports your data.
The app page shows the connection’s status and last sync. You can start a full resync or Connect another account from there. When this first shipped, Church Metrics was connected from the Integrations page; it now lives under Settings, Apps.
Use Church Metrics in your metrics
- Open Settings, then Metrics, and choose a metric.
- Select Add Source and pick Church Metrics.
- Choose the Church Metrics integration and the Church Metrics categories to include.
The values feed the metric wherever it appears, including your Overview cards. Church Metrics values are church-wide, so a metric that uses them can’t be narrowed to a segment of people. Contribution categories need giving access, and managing the connection needs permission to manage apps.
