Teach Parable how your church sounds
Set your church's voice once, with an identity, a few rules and the words you prefer, and Parable writes the Weekly Digest in that voice.
Every church has its own way of speaking. Some say “members”, others say “family”, and a pastoral team may never call anyone a “donor”. Voice lets you tell Parable how your church talks, so what it writes sounds like you.
Describe your voice
Voice has four sections. Each starts from sensible defaults and shows when you’ve customized it.
- Identity: describe who you are and the posture every message should carry.
- Voice rules: a short, ordered checklist for how every message should sound.
- Vocabulary: Preferred language to use, and Avoid terms to leave out.
- Example message: one optional sample that captures the voice at its best.
To set it up:
- Open Settings, then Voice.
- Edit a section and save it. Choose Reset to default to undo your changes to a section.
Where you’ll hear it
Parable uses your voice when it writes the Weekly Digest email for your team. The numbers stay exactly as they are: if a rewrite would change or drop a figure, Parable keeps the original wording for that part of the digest.
Editing the voice needs permission to manage your organization’s settings.
