Faster, more reliable nightly Planning Center syncs
Parable's nightly Planning Center sync now fetches only what changed in larger data sets, so it finishes faster and your morning numbers are more dependably current.
When your team opens Parable on a Monday, the numbers should reflect Sunday. This release makes the nightly sync that brings in your Planning Center data quicker and steadier, especially for larger churches.
Only what changed
Parable syncs Planning Center nightly. Until now, most of each sync read every record again. Now, when a set of records is large, such as a church’s people, donations or check-ins, the nightly sync asks Planning Center only for the records that changed since the last sync. Smaller sets still get a full pass each day, and your first sync is always complete.
Doing less work each morning means syncs finish sooner and are less likely to stall partway through. Several fixes in the same release also helped long syncs recover and continue, rather than starting again.
The schedule hasn’t changed. Your data still refreshes nightly, and that refresh is now more dependable.
Nothing to set up
This applies to every Planning Center connection automatically. There is no setting to change.
Registrations pick up where they left off after a long sync instead of starting over.
People custom field data syncs reliably for larger churches.
Totals from nested Services, Check-Ins and Calendar records are corrected, and duplicate Planning Center transfer records are removed.
