Reports as tables and single-number scorecards
The AI report builder can now produce a table or a single key number as well as a chart, and save either to a dashboard.
Not every question needs a chart. Sometimes a board wants the list of names, and sometimes a staff meeting needs one number. The report builder now gives you both.
Tables and metrics
Until now, the AI report builder made charts. It can now build two more kinds of report:
- A table, for answers best read row by row, such as the families who joined a group this quarter.
- A metric, a single key number shown as a scorecard, such as this month’s first-time guests.
Describe what you want and the builder chooses the right format, or pick it yourself. Tables and metrics save to dashboards like charts do, and you can export the results as a CSV.
The builder also works better on phones and tablets: the chat stays in view while your report is generated, and the preview opens alongside it once results arrive.
Build one
- Open Reports and select New report, or open a report you already have and edit it.
- Describe the report you need in the builder’s chat, for example “a table of people who gave for the first time this year”.
- Review the result, then save it or add it to a dashboard.
The report page has a clearer header that shows when a report is a fixed snapshot.
Dashboard reports have help tooltips, and year-over-year giving growth follows the date range you select.
Reports that show a single metric display correctly instead of returning an error.
