Every report now shows how it handles dates
Reports label their date scope, flag when a date picker won't change them, and switch between chart, totals and records in one place.
When a pastor asks “how many came last month?”, the number has to answer that question. Every report now says plainly which dates it covers, so nobody changes a date picker and trusts a number that didn’t move.
A clear label for every report
The period picker on each report names its date scope. A report might show Follows date filters, Rolls with today, a fixed period with its dates, All time or Current snapshot. When a report isn’t tied to the picker, the picker looks locked. Report pages and dashboards also show a Not linked to date filters notice: “Picking dates here won’t change what this report shows.”
If you can edit a report, you can change how it handles dates:
- Open the report from Reports and choose Edit in Builder.
- Open the period picker, which shows the report’s date scope.
- Choose Pin to these dates to lock the report to the selected range, or Follow date filters to let the page’s dates drive it. Parable rewrites the report’s query to match.
Chart, totals and records in one place
Report pages now have one set of tabs: Chart, the totals, and the records behind them. Click a bar or slice to open the matching records. The tab, the segment you picked and the date range are kept in the page link, so a colleague who opens it sees exactly what you saw. Each tab exports its own data: the chart as a PNG, or the totals or records as a CSV.
