Reports keep working when Planning Center is disconnected
If your Planning Center connection is disconnected or disabled, reports and tiles now show your last synced data and say clearly that it may be out of date.
A broken connection shouldn’t leave a pastor with a blank screen before a staff meeting. When Planning Center is disconnected or disabled, Parable now keeps showing what it last synced and tells you so.
What changed
Before this release, reports couldn’t run while Planning Center was disconnected or disabled. Now they run on the data Parable last synced, and every place that shows that data says it may be out of date.
- Reports show a banner reading Planning Center data may be stale, with the time of the last sync and a Reconnect button.
- Dashboard tiles and Overview widgets show Stale data, with the time of the last sync. Hover over it for more detail.
- Scheduled reports carry the same information.
These indicators appear only while Planning Center is disconnected or disabled. They don’t appear when your connection is working normally.
Reconnect Planning Center
- Select Reconnect on the report banner, or open Settings and then Apps.
- Reconnect Planning Center.
Once it’s reconnected and synced, the indicators go away and your reports show current data again.
