Set the thresholds behind your Overview widgets
Decide what counts as a dropoff, overserving, a lapsed gift or an expiring background check, so your Overview widgets match how your church works.
A church that meets weekly and a church with monthly services need different definitions of “dropped off”. Several Overview widgets now let you set the thresholds behind them, so the people they flag are the ones your team would want to hear about.
What you can adjust
- Attendance Dropoff: how often someone must attend to count as regular, over how many weeks, and how many weeks without a check-in counts as a dropoff.
- Overserving Alert: the most services a volunteer should serve within a rolling window.
- Expiring Checks: how many days ahead a background check counts as expiring soon.
- Lapsed Giving: the grace period before a giver counts as lapsed, and the donor counts and recoverable amounts that raise the alert level.
- Birthdays and Upcoming Events: how many days ahead to look.
On Engagement Distribution, the same button opens your engagement settings instead.
Settings apply to your whole church, so everyone sees the same definitions.
Change a widget’s settings
- Open Overview.
- On a supported widget, select the pencil button, labeled Widget settings.
- Adjust the values in the settings panel and save.
By default, Owners and Admins can change widget settings. Everyone else sees the results.
