Every church has a budget to keep, and AI costs shouldn’t be a surprise. Ask Parable usage is now shown in dollars, with controls to keep spending where you want it.

See where it goes

Open Settings, choose Ask Parable under Workspace, then open the Usage tab.

  • Workspace usage shows what Ask Parable has spent this billing period.
  • By model breaks that spending down by requests, tokens, cost and share.
  • Each member can see their own spending in Your usage this period, on the personal Ask Parable page.

Decide what happens at the limit

Under When the budget runs out, choose one:

  • Switch to the lowest-cost model until reset, so Ask Parable keeps answering.
  • Pause Ask Parable until reset, so it stops answering for everyone until the budget resets or credits are added.

Turn on Email billing contacts at 80% and everyone who can manage billing gets one email per billing period when spending passes that point.

Cap each member

Under Per-member spend, set a Monthly cap per member in whole dollars. You can then set any member to Use workspace default, give them a Custom monthly cap, or choose No cap for this member. Members without a cap still count toward the workspace budget.

Changing these controls requires permission to manage workspace settings, which Owners and Admins have by default. Prepaid credit is bought from the Billing page.
