Define giving tiers in your church's own words

Name your church's giving tiers, set where each one starts, and keep each person's current tier on their Planning Center profile.

Generosity looks different in every congregation. Donor tiers let your church describe its own giving levels, so stewardship conversations start from definitions your team agrees on.

Set your tiers

  1. Open Settings, then Giving.
  2. Under Donor tiers, name each tier and set the amount it Starts at. Amounts are based on each person’s giving over the last 12 months.
  3. Pick a color for each tier, and reorder or remove tiers as needed.
  4. Save your changes.

You can have up to 10 tiers, plus a bottom tier for people with no gifts in the last 12 months. Reset to default brings back the starting set: No recent giving, then Tier 1 for any gift through Tier 5 at $10,000.

If a teammate saves the tiers while you’re editing, Parable reloads their version and keeps your draft so nothing is lost.

Keep Planning Center in step

Under Planning Center sync on the same page, turn on Donor Tier. Parable writes each person’s current tier to a dropdown field on the Parable: Giving tab in Planning Center People, so staff who work there see it too.

Sync needs a connected Planning Center account with permission to create tabs and fields. Managing donor tiers requires permission to manage workspace settings and full giving access.
