October 24–25 improvements and fixes
A fixed-date warning for custom SQL, accurate Giving Overview dashboards, and Connections that remembers your filters and sort.
Alongside week-start settings and fiscal-year reporting, the October 24 and 25 releases tightened up reports and Connections.
When a custom SQL report filters on a fixed date, Parable warns you and asks whether it should follow the selected date range instead. The warning appears in the SQL Editor, when editing a report and in Ask Parable, and never blocks saving.
Saving a report whose SQL can't be read now says so, instead of a misleading giving-permission error. Team members who can delete any report and have full giving access can now remove old reports in that state.
New Giving Overview dashboards and the SQL Editor's giving starter queries count only successful gifts, leaving out refunded, failed and pending ones. Existing dashboards keep their current queries.
Going Back to Connections from a person brings back the filters and sort you had, not the full list.
Make this my default in the Connections sort menu now saves to your account, so your default sort follows you to any browser or computer.
Searching for a People filter shows only fields that match what you typed.
Scheduled Planning Center syncs start again shortly after a data rebuild finishes.
