Where Parable is the wrong choice
- Under about 200 people you probably don't need us. Planning Center's own dashboards will do.
- We don't count heads from a photo, and we don't pull YouTube or Instagram stats.
- If your Planning Center data is thin, Parable surfaces that fast. It reads what is there; it cannot invent history.
- We're a smaller company than the platforms we're listed beside. That's why you can book a call and get a founder rather than a support queue, but you should know it.

Is Parable an alternative to Nurture?
Partly. Both build a single record per person and surface who is drifting. Nurture goes further into pastoral workflow — assigning touchpoints and tracking whether they happened. Parable goes further into reporting — open questions, forecasting, cohorts and raw data access. Churches that want a follow-up queue should look hard at Nurture; churches that want to understand what is happening should look at Parable.
Do we need to be a Pushpay customer to use Nurture?
No. Pushpay acquired Nurture in April 2026 and has said churches do not need to be Pushpay customers to use it. Worth knowing all the same that it now sits inside a company that also sells giving, a ChMS and livestreaming, and that its roadmap will reflect that.
Does Parable work with our giving platform?
Parable reads giving through Planning Center Giving. If your giving lives somewhere else and syncs into Planning Center, Parable sees it. If it does not touch Planning Center at all, Parable will not see it — that is a real limitation and Nurture handles it better.
How long does Parable take to set up?
About ten minutes to authorise, then the first sync runs in the background — a few hours for a large church. No onboarding project and no success manager required, though you can book a demo if you would rather be walked through it.
